Email setup
Cadence sends email through your organisation’s own email provider, so messages come from your domain and your provider’s sending reputation applies. Each organisation has one outbound email configuration.
Credentials and sensitive details (such as API keys and passwords) are stored encrypted.
Supported providers
Section titled “Supported providers”- SMTP - works with any standard mail server (such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace). Requires host, port, and login details.
- SMTP2GO, Postmark, Brevo, Mailgun - cloud email services with simple API key setup.
- Amazon SES - for organisations already using AWS.
Setup checklist
Section titled “Setup checklist”- Set up your sending domain with your chosen provider - this includes configuring SPF and DKIM DNS records so messages aren’t marked as spam. Follow your provider’s instructions for this step.
- Create a sending identity or verified domain in your provider’s dashboard.
- Enter your from address and credentials into Cadence.
- Send a test message using a low-stakes template before enabling sending for all members.
Deliverability
Section titled “Deliverability”Because email is sent through your organisation’s own provider and domain, your sending reputation is independent of other Cadence customers. This means good email list hygiene and correct DNS configuration are important - missed setup will affect your organisation’s deliverability.
